Dr Egg Adventures, founded by Dr. Catherine Fargher in February 2012, creates engaging Education Technology (EduTech) products and content to solve problems faced by primary school teachers and educators in STEM and AI driven futures.
Solution will be a NESA (National Education Standards Accreditation) approved STEAM and AI Teaching resources that has been codesigned with Macquarie University’s School of Education and aligned with NSW’s ‘Science and Technology’ K-6 2019 curriculum and based on the IBM global AI curriculum, including in class education materials and unit plans.
Product and content is based on Self-Determination Learning Theory (Autonomy, Competence and Relatedness) and encompasses 21st century Learning skills (Critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity)
Aim is to provide engaging material in the regards to adapting technologies in the form of STEM and AI driven features.
Primary school’s have a lack of teachers trained in STEM and Technology. Students love exploring STEM, so teachers need curriculum aligned STEM resources for students to engage in learning.
Students to interact and play with story-driven, problem-based learning resources on Dr Egg Adventures Laboratory Online Portal.
It uses Blended Learning (online and offline) and Multi-Modal Resources (learning modules, games, animations and interactive online activities) as an effective resource in assisting teachers to teach STEM (and AI) concepts to students.
Students will develop a set of skills in areas of science investigation such as design thinking, machine learning, coding, underpinned by the 21 Century learning skills and the Self Determination theory of Learning.
