WORKSHOP 1
MYSTERIOUS SCIENCE AND PUZZLED!
HOW IT WORKS:
Small teams of 8-to-12-year-old apprentice scientists can bring their lab coats for a Game Prototype design thinking workshop, based on Dr Egg Storyworld and real-world science problems.
Working with trained science students as well as Dr Egg Adventures Game designers, this workshop assists students to create interactive game and puzzle prototypes using the Marvel prototyping app. They will design a six scene game, as well as developing character dialogues and create their own characters based on the character templates from the Dr Egg Adventure Laboratory series.
The Dr Egg Adventures workshops are linked to Grades 3-8 (stage 2-4) Australian National Science Curriculum.

WORKSHOP 2
WRITING INTERACTIVE STORIES AND CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
HOW IT WORKS:
This workshop explores:
- Choose Your Own Adventure (CYA) storytelling
- Interactive narratives
- Digital (online) storytelling
The workshop features digital software, Wattpad, and Dr Egg Adventures Kids page own Fan Fiction Portal! Students will design, create and program their own stories and read them to their own classroom all within three hours! Bring ideas for any genre, writing that you may have started, or just bring your imagination!

DR EGG’S ADVENTURE LABORATORY: SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION

HOW IT WORKS:
Let the Dr Egg Adventures team guide your students through our exciting Science Investigation Resources. Teachers, learn as we teach your students! Students will be supported by Dr Egg Adventures facilitators to use online and offline resources to solve science investigation problems.
We will undertake 1 experiment per workshop, OR guide your students through all three experiments over a 6 week period!
Students from this program have the opportunity to use the problem-based resource The Case of The Starving Slum-lanes Students and The Empty School Canteen Dr Egg Adventures Laboratory.
This resource consists of four parts:
- Online animation
- Teachers Notes (online PDF or offline booklet)
- Student Booklets (online PDF or offline booklet)
- Online Dr Egg Adventure Laboratory EggBox (‘What’s on the bench’ Tools and Team Choices)
Students will be granted access to all parts of the resource through the Dr Egg Adventure Laboratory EggBox.
